I have had the immense privilege of sponsoring 17 young people (and counting!) for the Sacrament of Confirmation. It is such an honor to stand beside them as they make their “yes” to the Lord. Not all of them, however, were spiritually-minded, and I wrote this song for one of the young men that I sponsored who was very much wrapped up in the things of this world: money, fame, pleasure. It’s my prayer for him – and for all those I’ve sponsored.
